Reading List

I thought I'd just post links to the books that have been most helpful to my development so far with a brief description of each one. Hopefully these will help you as much as they have for me.

Obviously this is one of my key books that I constantly refer back to. Its a great read just on its own but as a training guide its indispensable, and a great reference. Also included are three separate training plans which vary from the competitive, the intermediate and the just finish. There are also loads of brilliant part time athlete stories and tips to squeeze as much out of every session as you can. Highly motivating and inspiring stuff. Its packed full of great information, and I wouldn't be anywhere near the triathlete I am today without it. Cheers Don!

Another book that I'm now constantly referring to is one I've not had for too long. In my quest for speed I've come to realise that I'm a less than ideal shape to generate a lot of speed. Especially running. This book is my secret weapon in shifting that balance and appears to be doing a good job so far. Its full of useful tips and is a good read if just for the summarised nuggets of info on most pages. It even includes examples from some of the worlds best endurance athletes of their day to day eating which is intriguing in itself.
